Valid Zerona Consumer Complaint – “I looked everywhere and can’t find the ‘fine print’”

I sit down with many prospective patients for Zerona consultations to discuss their case and to see if I’ll accept them for my Zerona laser program.

You’d be shocked at some of the things I hear (stories for another time)

But I had one consultation the other day that I need to share with you, because I think she had a very valid complaint!

She was a very pleasant lady in her 50’s who has spent many hours of her life behind a desk and busy with life… she put herself second (or third or forth) to her job and her family.  And now… it was her time.  She wanted to do something for herself.

She started to workout 2 to 3 months ago. She was eating better.  She was definitely on the right track to achieving her health goals.

But… she was getting frustrated.  Frustrated because she was not losing the inches in her tummy the she felt she should have for having been working out heavily for the past 3 months.

I reassured her that what she was doing with her diet and exercise was fantastic and to keep it up.

So I asked her how I could help.

And she this is where she “let me have it”.

It was obvious she was well prepared.  She pulls out a list and says she has some questions. She asked her basic questions that I hear all the time…

Then something changed…

She goes on to say that she has done her homework.  She tells me that I’m all over the internet (I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not) and that in all of her searching with the company, with the Zerona laser program, all the material out there she could not satisfy her one nagging and remaining question.

Do you know what she asked me?

I was actually taken back for a second because no one had ever really said it the way she did.

Here’s what she said:

“In all of the investigating I’ve done on Zerona and your program, I cannot fine the ‘small fine print.’”

What’s this small fine print she is talking about?

You know… the fine print at the end of every drug commercial… or any other “thing” out there.  The small fine print is the disclaimers and all of the “BAD” things about the product or service.

After listening to her tell me all the good things about the Zerona laser and letting her express her frustration with not being able to find anything bad…

Here’s how I responded. (I think my response to her shocked her)

“If there was something bad about the Zerona laser and my program it would be a lot more believable!”

I went on to say that most of us are taught to believe – “If something is too good to be true… it usually is.”  And because the Zerona is:

- so new,

- has no negative side effects (FDA approved, positive side effect is that it normalizes cholesterol),

- it gets such fast and great results (3.5 inches in 2 weeks),

- it is the easiest thing imaginable (you just lay there for 40 minutes for 6 sessions)…

…it really does seem too good to be true!

Look at all the alternative to Zerona – diet, exercise, liposution, drugs, etc – they all have their significant “bad” things.  That makes it more believable to us.

She seem satisfied with my response.

Then… after going over the price of the different programs I’d make available to her she even commented “even the price is too good to be true.”

Well… I’d much rather provide a fantastic service that is affordable and that truly helps someone be healthier and keep them from dangerous lifestyles.

I can’t wait until she is just as happy with the results of my Zerona program.

Blessings,

Dr. Don

Well, here is some bad news about Zerona. I have had 20 sessions, and not one bit of difference to be seen. First of all, let me tell you about myself. I am 46 years old. 5’5″, 130 pounds. Very healthy, just had my blood work done, and everything, cholesterol, thyroid, everything in execellent ranges. I work out 3 times a week for an hour and a half, walk in the evenings, but i’ve had trouble losing that last 10 pounds i put on the last 2 years. I have thick thighs and hips. I did my homework on Zerona, and i started a week before with niacin and L carnitine, and got a pair of Spanx contouring undies, and wear them constantly. After my sessions, i walked the treadmill, had a detox foot bath, a massage, and did stretches. I drank tons of fluids, and took more vitamins and detoxers. Took a week off, and did more sessions, and still not one bit smaller. I even lost 4 pounds from all the fluids and vitamins. So, no, it is not a miracle, and it is too good to be true, so unless you have money to throw away, it might not work for you, buyer beware, if it seems to good to be true, it probably is.

Dear Cindy,
Thank you very much for sharing your honest experience, how frustrating is that! Reading all the things that your doctor did with you in managing your case sound completely accurate. Its also should like you really wanted this to work and you were very compliant. You even had the detox foot baths! I didn’t read it, so I’ll throw it out there – was one of the test performed on you a test to evaluate your adrenal hormones? Lets assume that even was normal. The only other thing i can think of was the machine. I know of a doctor that was treating patients and getting no results across the board. Apparently, she was told she had a “lemon” – in other words the Zerona machine itself was faulty. (I know that one of my machines burned out and Erchonia took care of it right away). But I doubt that was the case as your doctor would have had no results with all of the patients.

Your case is not only unique but I imagine even more frustrating as other are getting results that you didn’t… and you did nothing wrong.

Thank you for sharing… my heart goes out to you. I wish I could help more.

Blessings,
Dr. Don

I will believe it when I see it on someone that I know.

Daryl – Thats a safe position. Thanks for the comment.

I just started the Zerona last night. I already see two indentations – if you will – in my abdomen. I believe it will work. The doctor who is doing this for me is a great guy and would not do it if it would not work. There are so many studies out there that support the Laser. I cannot wait, and I will keep you posted as to my progress.
Thanks!

Hello Dr. Troy Don,
I am planning to have Zerona done on my tummy and chin. But can I have zerona done on my chin ? I am 21 years in age. My height is 4.11 feets and weight is 58kg. Will my less age cause complications in future? Will it have any serious side effects? Please reply.
-Lester W.

Thank you Dr. Don for your kind and encouraging words. I am pleased to annouce that it has been one week for me with the Zerona Laser treatment (3 sessions), and I am down 5 1/2 INCHES in my abdomen! What a GREAT thing this is!!! I encourage everyone to do this. My stomach is flattening out before my eyes, and the skin is tight, no sagging! Also, the laser is defining my muscles. WOW!!!
Will keep everyone posted!

Dear Lester,
Zerona is a nonsurgical procedure. Not only are there no SERIOUS side effects, but there are NO harmful side effects based on the studies that have been done. It is FDA approved for safety. Yes you can have it done on your chin. Your age is not a factor. Consult your Zerona doctor if you have any specific concerns regarding your personal situation. Good luck to you.

Hello Dr. Don,
I would like to know when the laser is performed on the front of the body does it in any way affect the size, shape and potential risks to the breasts?
Thank you for your assistance.
Anna

Dear Anna,

Great question. The Zerona laser works wonderfully well at reducing the fat in a targeted area. If the lasers are pointed to target the breast tissue, the laser will work on that breast tissue. In fact, we’ve help patient in their desire to reduce the size of their breast without surgery. If the laser is not hitting that tissue, then you don’t need to be concerned. I hope that helps…

As you probably know, when a WOMAN diets and exercises, one of the first places that her body will show the effects of fat reduction is in the face and breast! AND not the desired area – waist, hips, thighs! That’s the frustration I hear all the time.

Blessings,
Dr. Troy Don, DC QME

I had smart laser lipo done about a year and a half ago. I have a huge indention on my left leg, where to much fat was removed. I also have two dents on my lower stomach and lumps, which I was told was scar tissue. Could Zenora help even out my lumps and dents from the smart lipo?
