What’s Possible with Zerona Week By Week – Dr. Don’s Personal Update

Ok so it is now time for an update…

If you will recall a little over 3 weeks ago I was discussed with myself and what the holidays (yes, I’m blaming the holidays) did to me and my waist!

You can look back at the other blogs to refresh your memory…

So, I decided to do want I prescribe to my patients.

What is that exactly?

Well it depends greatly on what I find out about you… having said that, this is what I did as I would have recommended to someone like me.

1 – I started with a cleanse that would last for 21 one days. It is a food elimination cleanse.  In other words there are certain foods you eliminate from your selection of food.  I was eating fish and chicken and lots of fruit and veggies.  With that cleanse I also took nutrition and supplements that are specific to my lab results.  (yes, lab results! That’s a topic for a whole different conversation/blog).  During this cleanse I’m not counting calories… I’m not eating prepackaged frozen dinners… I’m not replacing meals with power protein shakes… I’m not starving myself.  This is by far the best cleanse program out there!  I’ve seen a lot!

2 – A week after, that I started the Zerona laser – every other day. 3 times per week.  I did not get a lymphatic massage or digestive massage.  Heck, it was hard enough for me to lay down for 40 minutes those there times per week.  But I have to say that it was nice to sit back and do some casual reading. I did this for 2 weeks.

3 – the next step is to exercise.  This I have not yet started… so let me give you the results as they stand now.

Results…

After 1 week I lost 9 pounds…

After 2 weeks I lost a total of 11 pounds…

em>After 3 weeks I lost a total of 13 pounds… and I’ve lost 3.25 inches to my waist and a quarter of an inch to my hips.  I’ve only targeted the laser to my waist.

Once again I am very impressed with the effectiveness of the laser when combined with my nutrition protocol.

However, I’m not yet done! I want to now add exercising to my routine!  That will be fun, the hardest part is making time to get it done.  I’m going to shoot for 4 times per week, 30 minutes each time.

I’ll let you know the progress in a week or two…

I have to tell you of a bi-product of my doing this… My wife has been motivated to get back in shape too.  Having a baby has left her with some unwanted fat and so she is going to approach things differently… I doubt she’ll be willing to let me share with you her numbers. ;)

Another benefit is I feel so much better – more energy, more confidence knowing my close fit better… and heck, who doesn’t like to be asked “you’re looking great, what are you doing to lose weight.”

Blessings,
Dr. Troy Don, DC QME

When You Can’t Look At Yourself In The Mirror Any More…

By Dr. Troy Don · January 7, 2010 · Filed in Zerona and Life · 1 Comment »

That’s it! I can take it any more!

No more excuses!

The holidays and being newly married have been terrible for my midsection! Happy as can be, but angry with how I’ve let myself go.

So as of now I am back on the band wagon.

I’ve been helping patients to lose inches with Zerona and weight with my program, it time for me to start a fresh new program to get into shape!

So, this blog is the first in the series of getting my act in gear!

I will be sharing my results as I go.  Ugh… yes, I will share with my before number and then my progress numbers.

I cant believe I’ve let myself go for so long. I guess my wife spoils me.  Its nice to be in a relationship where love is beyond superficial.  J

Once you are FINALLY SO sick and tired of looking at yourself in the mirror and discussed with yourself, you’ll finally take sincerely 100% effort to make a change.  That’s me.

How about you?

Are you there yet?

Well, I am.  So here is what I’m going to do.

I’m going to treat myself with the Zerona laser.  I am going to get back to my healthy eating after I go through my nutrition regiment.  I’m going to get back to exercising at least 3 days a week.

My goal is to lose 3 or more inches from my waist and 15 pound or more from my body weight in one month!  Can I do it?  I think so… but its going to take some energy and time.

Eeks! I’m so busy already… but this is important… after all, what more important that your health?

Thank you for reading my latest article, and I encourage you to leave any questions and comments you may have below.

Blessing,

Zerona “Mind Tricks” Help You Stick With Uour New Years Resolutions Longer!

By Dr. Troy Don · January 6, 2010 · Filed in Zerona Results, Zerona Tips · No Comments »

Happy New Year!

With the New Year come… resolutions.

Raise your hand if you have a New Year’s resolution to get in better shape, to eat better, to exercise more, to be healthier, or simply to shed some inches from your waist!

Like New Years resolutions, or not… when the New Year come subconsciously we think of the coming year as a clean slate.  What happened last year is behind you, time for a new fresh start!

So if you are like most, you are looking to at the very least – do better with your health.  If you are really motivated and you are sick and tired of putting on a pair of pants that are getting tighter and tighter… or you don’t want to put away those clothes that don’t fit any more because you know deep down that you can get back into them… or you are NOW ready to get into the best shape you’ve been in for a long time…. THEN you are motivated enough to put some action behind your motivation.

Perhaps you’ve started with a new gym membership. Or new exercise equipment. Or a new program you saw on TV.  Or a new diet program.

Whatever you have DECIDED to do – Awesome job! You took the first step.

And it is people like you that do the best while under Zerona.

Why is that?

Well, it has to do with our brain… let me explain.

If you started an exercise program and worked at it for weeks but saw no result (even though its very good for you) you will get frustrated.  You think to yourself, “Geez, here I am working my butt in the gym for a hours a week, I’m eating better, but still I’m not seeing my waist getting thinner. My breasts are getting smaller, but not my waist!”   (Side note: keep with the exercising and eating right – it will pay off, just keep with it)

Sound familiar?

Well, when you doing an exercise program while under Zerona the Zerona is able to give you a change to your waist in the beginning of your exercise program.  THIS give you extra motivation to keep with the exercising.  THIS mind trick helps you to stick with it until your body’s metabolism is able to kick in to help the fat come off.

Some people stay under the laser for more treatments giving them added boost over that months… other come back to it when they hit a barrier.

If you are interested in getting better results while starting your new exercise or diet program – then you should seriously think about adding this to your action list to get the results.

Whether you use Zerona or not…. Good luck with your New Year’s resolution.

Blessings,

Zerona Reviews and Results – Consider Services Provided

“Apples to Apples, Oranges to Oranges”

I get a little concerned when I hear people talking about their friends’ or family’s results at other doctors offices.

And so should you….

Here’s the deal – patients come to my office, get great results and then share with their distant friends or family – but then their friends/family doesn’t get the same results AND they didn’t get the same treatment.

Here are the problems…

My patients leave and say “Zerona worked great for me.” But they fail to share what all else I had them take or do to get the “great” result.  Then their friends hear “Zerona” did great; seek a doctor in their area, and then get less than “great” results.

What’s a great result?  Well 3.5 inches is an average result. I’d say 6 plus inches is a great result.

The friends then start asking and THEN they realize that the didn’t compare apples to apples, but instead apples to oranges.  That’s a frustrating game.

I did have a patient come in from San Marino and they were doing their homework.  Apparently they were looking for the best “deal” and they were very surprised to find out that what the other doctor recommended was so simplified and so generic that they lost confidence in the other doctor.

(Doctors – why don’t you spend some time talking to your potential patients and at the very minimum give them a questionnaire to identify any issues that might affect results.  Don’t get so lazy.  Look, we know the Zerona works well… and we also know that there are certain things that patients suffer from that lower success. Wouldn’t it be better to screen those patients ahead of time and then decide whether or not you’ll accept the patient?)

Patients – be sure to know what your getting and what you may be missing by starting a program with an office. Do your due diligence.

I know this is going to get some email coming my way – better to rock the boat for the better.

Blessings,

Dr. Troy Don, DC QME

Purple Zerona or Black Zerona?

By Dr. Troy Don · October 28, 2009 · Filed in Zerona Laser Liposuction · 1 Comment »

A few days ago I was consulting with a patient from Upland, CA

And they made an observation and they asked me for more information about it. It was such a good question that I felt others should be informed as well.

When you research Zerona you’ll see that there are 2 different colors of machines – Purple and Black.

Could there be more differences than just the color?

The answer is yes.  Not only will you find differences in the doctor that provides the Zerona service but the machine itself is different.

I own the purple one. Both my Pasadena office and my Rancho Cucamonga office.

When you see the black one – though I like the color better – it is limited in its ability to work on areas of the body.  Because of the stiff arms of the 4 heads of the Zerona laser it is unable to be positioned to work on different goals.  For example – with the stiff armed black Zerona you will typically get a package of Waist. Hips, and Thighs.  After all, the research has shown 3.5 inches of combined circumference reduction – it is the most popular package.

However, the next most popular area is different for every individual.  For one person it is ONLY the waist – when that happens – we move all 5 heads to target the waist.  For another person, like the Upland patient, it was ONLY her THIGHS.  For many patients, like a patient last week from Arcadia, CA – she ONLY wanted her ARMS.

The beautiful thing about Zerona is that it can eliminate fat from TARGETED areas!

The beautiful thing about the purple Zerona is that it is flexible to accommodate different goals for each person. What are your goals? Is it your…

  • Waist
  • Hips
  • Thighs
  • Eyes
  • Arms
  • Calves
  • Lower Abdomen
  • Buttock
  • Breast

I’ve said it before… be sure you research beyond the cost.  I know I am more expensive – but that is for a reason.

Blessings,

Dr. Troy Don, DC QME

How Much Does Zerona Treatment Cost – Revisited

By Dr. Troy Don · October 23, 2009 · Filed in Zerona Laser Program · 2 Comments »

In the last several months Zerona has become more and more popular and more and more accessible thanks in part to the results, the marketing of this new technology, and its massive embrace by the media and talk shows.

And why not… it is truly an amazing device.

In fact, one doctor has called it the “Holy Grail” in plastic surgery, because there is no down time, no needles, no blood loss, no risk, no adverse affects, no change in life style, its so easy!

When you compare these benefits to the risks of a surgical procedure such as liposuction you’ll see why this procedure should cost on average of $3600!

As more Zerona laser come into the market, and more and more doctors want to provide this state-of-the-art service this could be good for the consumer.

Let me explain…

Right now the cost of 6 sessions will run between $2000 and $3000.  Some times you’ll find doctors running a promotion at a discounted rate. (Such as I do, which is one reason to follow me on Twitter. On occasion I’ll make a first come first serve offer at a ridiculously low price.)

One of the problems as more machines enter the market, the new doctor using the device, thinks they can just plug it in and get better than average results.  Having talk with and network with many doctors who have been using this for a while, that’s not how it works.  Getting better than average results requires more doctoring, more patient support, and more qualification.

Just the other day I had a prospective client from South Pasadena come in for a consultation at my Pasadena office, after they saw a doctor in their town.  They were getting a second opinion from me.  And they were shocked when I didn’t suggest they do Zerona as I felt it would help them they way they were hoping.  This prospective client appreciated my honesty and my suggestion.

So as a warning to people looking into Zerona, I strongly suggest that when you speak to a doctor, that you find out exactly what you are getting.

In my office I offer different levels of service with the Zerona.  From the most basic Zerona only packages to the more advanced and more supportive programs that include nutritional support beyond an overly simple single supplement.

Also I suggest you research the doctor using Zerona.  Ask them how long they have been using it.  Ask them if they have done any of their own clinical studies.

Bottom-line is that YOU have to compare what you are getting. Compare apples to apples and not apples to oranges.

Good luck to you!

Blessings,

Dr. Troy Don, DC QME

Rachael Ray Features The Zerona Laser Lipo

By Dr. Troy Don · October 21, 2009 · Filed in Zerona in the News · No Comments »

I had a bunch of patients asking me if I saw the Rachael Ray show a few weeks ago… finally I did just yesterday.

Here is the video for you to see it if you have yet to watch it…

People asked me if I liked it… then they were at first surprised by my response.

Look, it’s great that more people are learning about Zerona. How safe it is – completely. How effective it is – research shows an impressive 3.5 inches on average to the waist/hip/thighs combined without breaking a sweat or diet.  How easy it is – you just lay there. How affordable it is – between $2000 to $3000, a small fraction of liposuction.

But what I didn’t like was the little phrase that the doctor on the show said that was left unaddressed by Ms. Ray.

Watch the show again… listen for what is said when she asks about the cost.

The doctor’s response was some thing to the effect of “The cost of the treatment for 6 sessions is between $2,000 to $3,000… In my office we charge $1800. and for those that do not lose 3 inches we give them a credit of $1000 toward a different procedure such as liposuction.”

There are a few things I have issue with…

FIRST. Why is the doctor charging less than what all of the doctors have be asked to charge? Why is it only $1800? What are they not getting with that care?

SECOND. If the patient fails to get results, it is great that the office is offering something…. BUT… $1000 credit to a different procedure such as liposuction?!  Ok now lets discuss this a bit more.

I wonder how many people in that office fail to get 3 inches.  I also wonder how much it cost for liposuction to be performed at that doctor’s office.  I wonder it financially it is more advantageous for the office to not get results, then to perform a surgical procedure on some of those patients.  (I think in business that is called a “lost leader” – that being something that the business loses money on in the hope that they will make the real money on other products or services.)

I think what bugs me is this: what is the incentive for that doctor to get the BEST Zerona results without surgery?

Look, like I said, at least this doctor is offering something for those that don’t get average results… but I wonder what is being done to help patients get the best results on the ZERONA. Period.

I have come to learn that not all Zerona offices are the same.

In fact, I am learning that those offices that accept everyone and give minimal nutritional support are getting less than average results more often. I’m afraid that is going to create much disappointment out there… and that affects my practices.

I don’t mean to be the one pointing out the negative but I don’t want people so mesmerized by all the great things on the Rachael Ray show that they miss some details.

I’d rather point it out than someone else… you with me?

I hope this blog strikes a nerve among my doctor blog subscribers… I’d love to hear from you.

Blessings,

Dr. Troy Don DC QME

NEW Zerona Website Name, But Same Great Information!

By Dr. Troy Don · October 20, 2009 · Filed in Zerona Laser Liposuction · No Comments »

Welcome to Dr. Don’s New Site!

If you are looking for www.TheZeronaLaser.com, you are in the right site.

The name of the website name has changed, however this new website still has all of the great information for you as a patient on the Zerona laser, you as a doctor to send your patients for support, and you the person who is really interested in the Zerona laser but want to learn more first.

Its been a while since I’ve blogged – I’ve been really busy!

As the weeks and blogs go by you’ll see just how busy I’ve been – so stay tuned.  In fact, if you have not yet subscribed to this blog, I suggest you do. You can do that to the right.

You may be asking why I changed the name.

I suspect you’re asking because all of my fellow doctors are asking.

So here are some of the reasons.

One reason is that I’m tired of getting calls to my office from around the world as to where they can buy a Zerona laser.  I got so many calls that Erchonia should be sending me a commission check for all the business I send their way.

Another reason, Erchonia, the manufactures of the Zerona laser asked me to change my URL because it was to close to their URL “zeronalaser.com” that is not even being used.  Their point was that they didn’t want the public to think that my website for my patients was a company sponsored site and that it was confusing for the public.  I think the public is pretty smart and could see from the content of my website that it was in fact a site for my clinics – not as a reprehensive for Erchonia.  Perhaps some one asked them to have me change if because it is a top ranking website for Zerona laser for information.  In any event, I was the nice guy and complied.

Another reason is I want to stand out from the company – I am realizing that the doctors that are getting the machines placed in their offices are going to really struggle with it… this is a topic for another blog… I’ll explain this one at another time…

As for now, just know that I’ve been really busy treating patients, doing my own testing and studies in order to achieve maximum results while under the Zerona laser.

Like I said, I’ve been really busy!  I’ve even had prospective “patients” come to my office to learn more about what I do – and these “patients” are actually staff members from other doctor’s offices.  (Doctors – You don’t have to “spy” I am an open book!)

That’s one reason why I have this blog! Doctors… if you have clinical questions beyond what the company is giving you – simply ask.  We are all here to help each other get better results for our patients without the use of surgery!!!  Giving them a credit toward a surgical procedure that is more expensive and risky is not cool – topic for another time!

I welcome your questions and posts!

Blessings,

Dr. Troy Don, DC QME

Love/Marriage/Divorce & Zerona

By Dr. Troy Don · June 19, 2009 · Filed in Zerona and Life · 1 Comment »

Today is something completely different than the typical Zerona blog topic… but I think you’ll get it if you just follow me for a bit…

As you know… Many people want the Zerona laser because it will help them to shed some inches and therefore feel better about themselves and then possibly help them to find the love of their life!

Others want it because they just ended a relationship and they want to show themselves some love by getting into shape again and then get back out there to hopefully find some love!

It seems love (for yourself or from others)… seem to be a common denominator in many of the consultations I have.

And here is what I tell them… “While the Zerona laser will help you to get into the shape you want… it does not mean that you’ll find the love of your life.”

And while they understand and nod in agreement it still seems to be the motivating factor…

So today I’d like to share with you something that a doctor friend sent to me that I think will do way more to spice up your life than the Zerona laser (or any other thing that helps you to get into shape) could ever do.

Rarely in our busy days do we get exposed to this kind of stuff… treat yourself by turning off you phone and TV and watch this…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqAEfBMlJoc

I’m sure this may make many people angry…others cry… others smile… others become thankful… and hopefully everyone will love more.

Lets remember what’s important in this world…

Blessings,

Dr. Don
